62 new subsidized housing units in San Juan
On this occasion, 62 new subsidized housing units have been completed in San Juan, after an 18-month construction period.
The blocks were inaugurated on July 8th at an event that gathered the Mayor of San Juan, Edmundo Selva, the general secretary of the UGT trade union, Cándido Méndez, the IVVSA (Valencian Housing Institute) Housing Director, Mª Jesús Rodríguez, and Javier Sogorb, IVVSA manager, alongside other representatives from the Valencian Community’s branch of the UGT.
19 May 10Beren completes new subsidized housing in Elche and La Hoya
On May 13th, the Mayor of Elche, Alejandro Soler, and the secretary of the UGT País Valencià trade union, Conrado Hernández, presided the presentation of 90 subsidized housing (VPO) units in Sector E-5, opposite San Antón, and another 25 units in La Hoya.
These two- and three-bedroom units are equipped with two bathrooms, a combined living room-dining room area and a kitchen. Each floor accommodates 5 flats, except for the attics (4 flats per floor) which are open market units and have large balconies. Most of the rooms in the flats are outward-facing and guarantee a great deal of natural light.
The block is a modern construction with exposed brickwork on the façades and a large parking area in the basement, as well as individual storage rooms for each owner.
The neighbours that attended the presentation spent the day in the garden area and enjoyed some refreshments.
4 March 10Beren backs engineering undergrads at the 7th Bridge Competition
Beren Constructora is sponsoring the seventh edition of the Bridge Competition, organised by the Student Union of the Upper Polytechnic College of the Miguel Hernández University in Elche. This year, the event will be staged nationally for the first time ever.
Engineering undergraduates from all over Spain can prove their skill by using lolly sticks to build the best and most resistant bridges to support loads of up to 1000 kilos. A challenge that requires a great deal of effort, as well as ability and patience.
This seventh edition has over 5000 euros in prizes and a 1200 Euro first prize.

The Regional Minister for Environment, Water, Town Planning and Housing visits a Beren construction
The development of the L’Alquería sector in Sant Joan d’Alacant, which will consist of 780 subsidized housing units, was inaugurated yesterday, Monday May 25th.
The event gathered the Regional Minister for Environment, Water, Town Planning and Housing, Mr. José Ramón García Antón, and other members of the Sant Joan d’Alacant municipal corporation.
Alongside several representatives from Beren Constructora, the Regional Minister visited the construction works that the company is carrying out in the sector. This project consists of two blocks of 62 multi-dwelling units, business premises, a common parking area in the basement, and interior architecture with garden areas. The two-bedroom units offer an average 63 m2 of usable space. The three-bedroom units offer an average 80 m2 of usable space. Except for the ground floor, all units have balconies spreading out over an average 8.5 m2.

16 April 09Beren presents new subsidized housing units in Nules
On April 15, BEREN presented the population of Nules with a development consisting of 42 subsidized housing units constructed for the Unión General de Trabajadores trade union.
These are two- and three-bedroom flats with a parking area in the basement and individual storage rooms for each owner. Furthermore, 2 units are fully equipped and adapted to disabled owners.
The block is a modern construction, with exposed brickwork on the façades combined with exterior white single-layer mortar. Dozens of people joined representatives from the UGT trade union, the Mayor of the city of Nules, Mario Ángel García Báscones, the director of the housing institute, and Cayetano Martínez Más, BEREN Technical Manager and General Deputy Director for General Management, for the presentation.
Beren presents a subsidized housing block in Estivella
The subsidized housing units that BEREN has constructed in the Valencian town of Estivella for the Unión General de Trabajadores trade union and the Council of the locality were presented during an institutional event last Monday March 2nd.
The event was attended by Cándido Méndez, the secretary general of the UGT trade union, and other political and trade union leaders from the area. Over one hundred people gathered in the plots that were once a municipal warehouse to inaugurate the modern housing block located on the skirts of the Calderona Mountain Range. BEREN Constructora, specialists in constructing subsidised housing (VPO), completed the construction within the deadline established by the client.

21 November 08Beren completes the construction of La Devesa School
On November 19, Elche’s La Devesa School was official inaugurated in Elche.
The event gathered the Mayor of Elche, Alejandro Soler, the General Director of the Grupo Sorolla, Carlos Picó, and the Director of the School, Marisa Nogués.
The event was organised with the cooperation of Beren Constructora, the company that constructed the school. Despite Beren’s experience with major constructions, both public and private, a project as unique as La Devesa School, appeared as a very ambitious endeavour for the construction company.
The event kicked off at 10 am with a visit from Fernando Romay and Francisco Tamaral and ended in the afternoon with the inauguration of a memorial plaque and the screening of a video about the school.
